What Guests Are Saying
O'Haver Lake offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with stunning scenery and well-maintained sites, making it a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Camp hosts receive high praise for their friendliness and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, issues such as limited water availability, noisy generators, and overcrowding during peak times detract from the experience, suggesting the need for improved management and facilities.

OHaver lake was awesome and all facilities are clean and well maintained! We stayed in site #19 which is a walk-in tent site. You have to walk down a path with several steps down. But it is worth it as this is one of the closest sites to the lake. The views of the mountains behind the lake are amazing!

The hosts were great taking care of traffic issues and campers domestic issues. Restrooms were very clean. Wish the road up to the campground were more camper friendly!

Very pretty and quiet area. The only downside is that site #29 doesn't have a tent pad; probably better for a small trailer than a tent. Access to the lake from our site was very good for kayaking. It was a plus to be close to the restrooms and water.

Very beautiful area. Our campsite overlooked the lake. Campsites and restrooms were very tidy.

This is the most beautiful campsite! We loved being right next to the lake and waking up in the pine trees and seeing the mountains. We did a lot of fishing and bike riding. We drive up to the top and looked down. A few people had kayaks or paddle boards. It’s all very nicely terraced with steps. Since there are no hook-ups, the other guests were tent campers like us or small trailer type campers. The hosts were very kind. Please note that even over Memorial Day, the temps dropped to almost freezing at night so just be prepared for the cold. Also, there are no sinks at the restrooms so bring hand soap, water and sanitizer. And, a place to wash your dishes. Other than that- it’s seriously the best camping spot if you love the outdoors!

So nice to have new campground hosts that are kind and respectful to the campers. If the same hosts from the past 2 years were still there my wife and I were going to leave. Sound really travels in the campground, please be respectful and don't make excessive noise, like generators running all day and night, loud music, cranking a diesel truck for hours.

If reservations are not available, some campsites are first come-first served, also called "Walk-up" sites. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the SAME NIGHT they are paid for. These sites usually fill Friday evenings and through the weekends. Due to the remote nature of campgrounds, calling to check availability prior to arrival is not possible. |
