The views, the walking paths are magical. Very clean, the hosts are wonderful and do a great job at maintaining facilities. It was beautiful!

Be aware that you can't see the lake from many sites. For a quick drive, go to the visitor center in Frisco for a wonderful tour. Restrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen.

Heaton Bay is one of our favorite places to RV. Although the lake was very very low, (Sad and Devistating) . We had a great time. I wish Heaton would add a dump station and put electric in Loop A and B.
The hosts were superb. Very attentive when need and left you alone is not needed. The vault bathrooms were impecably kept. Bravo to entire host team.

It’s a great place to stay as there is a lot of stuff to do . You can hike to Dillon, silverthorn or frisco in a short time, beautiful scenery too with all the mountains around the area too

This is a great campground to visit Frisco and Breckenridge from. There is a bike trail conveniently located right from the campground that can take you right into town and beyond. We really enjoyed riding the trails. The camp host was great and gave us tips on restaurants in the area. We stayed on loop C which was full hookups. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great campground. Have stayed at both Peak One and Heaton Bay. Peak One feels a little more rustic and remote even though it isn't. Heaton Bay has great bike trail accessibility to both Frisco and Dillon. No showers at either. If you drive into Breckenridge you can take a sauna and get a shower with a $10 day pass at the community center. Totally worth it.

Nice and clean camp ground, the C loop has electric and water hook ups, but you need to drive to the water and sanitation facility to dump which is about 7 mi away.
The bike path runs through the camp so easy to jump on trail.
Dillion lake is extremely low this year so walking to the lake is not easy due to the mud. Overall a nice experience.

I grew up camping here every summer and have not been back in several years. I was very impressed by the management of the property. Bathrooms were very clean and I noticed a lot of clearing of debris in the woods has been done since my last visit. Everything has been cared for well.

Getting There
From I-70, take Frisco exit to 203. Turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road.
Travel northeast for 1 mi. The campground will be on the right hand side
of the road.

Heaton Bay is accessible via I-70, with the Frisco exit leading to Dillon Dam Road, which is approximately 1 mile from the interstate.
