About Lowry Campground

At an elevation of 9,320 feet, Lowry Campground is located between Summit Cove and Breckenridge, Colorado in the White River National Forest. This campground is in close proximity to Dillon Reservoir and a handful of trails, making it an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.

This campsite (maybe the whole campground from our walkthrough) is unsuitable for tents. We were unable to stay there and had to rearrange our trip

I do not recommend campsite #12 for RV's 20ft or longer. Once I parked my SUV was blocking the road! I was 10 feet away from the RV in #13 and the public bathrooms were on the other side.
That said it has a nice camping area for tents with table, fire pit and grill. Its about 75 feet up from the RV parking.
Curt the host was helpful in telling me about the area above.
Will look for camping spots at the other areas at Dillon next time.

The campsite was nice, clean, had good views and a short walk will give you a beautiful view of Lake Dillon. Curt (the campsite manager) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Restrooms were very clean. Power & water hook up’s were a plus!

Great campground! Small compared to the others, very quiet, clean and well cared for, and the camp host, Kurt, is very friendly and helpful. Quite knowledgeable about local sites and history, and happy to give recommendations for side or day trips! This is become my favorite place to camp, and I almost hate to give it a great review because I don’t want to be in jeopardy of not finding a spot there when I come to Colorado to visit :-)

Even though this is a small campground, it doesn’t feel cramped with all the amazing views. The camp host Kirk is wonderful, remembers peoples names (camped here 3 different nights), keeps the campground very well maintained. Plenty of fresh water spigots. Most sites could use a little more leveling, but none are extreme. Will return!

We loved our stay at Lowry campground. All the sites are beautiful (although some are quite close together) and we enjoyed the location. The campground is taken care of impeccably and Kurt was an especially great camp host. We look forward to going back!

Clean facilities, water + firewood is available. Dogs are allowed. Only downside is that campsites are pretty close together.

Well kept campground. Host was very attentive. Almost too attentive, but harmless. Small space with a lot of gorgeous views and scenery.

Was a great time except the park manager! He was so so mean! He targeted my campsite, we didn’t play any music and talked quietly around the campfire and he came to yell at us 3 times and sent a sheriff, the sheriff laughed and said it was ridiculous, there was only 4 of us total talking quietly with no music!
