About Lowry Campground

At an elevation of 9,320 feet, Lowry Campground is located between Summit Cove and Breckenridge, Colorado in the White River National Forest. This campground is in close proximity to Dillon Reservoir and a handful of trails, making it an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.

We were there during fall and the changing of the leaves was amazing.
Also great bike trails all around.

Host was very helpful. The three sites that included ours (18) was quite tight for getting in and out, otherwise OK. Power was a great help.

Great views. Out in the woods but so close to Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne. Campground is well cared for by the staff. Only negative is that water was unavailable. Although the booking site states this, I wish there had been a bit of a discount on the price.

Gorgeous location. The nicest and most helpful host. The cleanest bathrooms we have run across traveling through the states.

The camp host was always busy working around the campground. He was very friendly and welcomed everyone and would even stop by occasionally to make sure everything was good. The bathrooms were kept spotless.

Lowry campground had electric which was very helpful. We were greeted by the host and this was very nice. It's really the first time a host has greeted us. The campground was somewhat close quarters but there is some bushes and rock outcroppings to provide some privacy. Cell service was great (verizon). Our spot was a pull through and level, we kept the trailer hooked up for just a one nigh stay. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained in both locations we stayed. The campsite was clean and maintained. In comparison to Prospecter where we stayed for 5 night ealier, it seemed a little closer quarters. Lowry had electric neither had water. Either one the views are beautiful and you can take a walk for a bit around and into the forest. Both campground hosts were helpful and the grounds were quiet.

Kurt, the campground host is amazing! Super friendly, helpful, and does an excellent job welcoming and keeping the campground safe, clean, and harmonized with the different campers. This is a favorite campsite for me. Love it!

We had a great location at the back loop! This part of the campground offers more privacy, butted against the hillside with a separate bbq/picnic areas in the trees above. Electrical hookup was awesome, though not water at this site, or surrounding campgrounds in Summit County. Campground host was also welcoming and helpful during our brief stay!
