My experience at Lowry campground was awesome. The location and hookups at the campground were exactly what we were looking for in Dillon. The camp host was super friendly and made share everything was nice and tidy. The only drawback was our campsite #18 was wedged between 2 other campsites which wasn't ideal. It did have a nice view however.

The campground is nicely located in the Sumit County area. The pit toilets were exceptionally well maintained. Kudos to the camp host.
We had reserved site 008, sight unseen and it unfortunately was too steep to be utilized by a PU Camper so we lost the money we had paid for it and had to rent another at full price rather than the half price available on the first site. It would be helpful if the slope of the sites were available on the reservation system.

Beautiful scenic views! Sites has water and electric hook-ups. Gravel spots. Camp hosts were very nice.
Great experience, and time permitting we would have stayed a touch longer

The camp host is one of the best I’ve seen. Very friendly and works hard to ensure the campground is in top shape. It’s pretty and quiet for being very close to town.

We’ve been camping at Lowry Campground for 7 yrs, and we love it ! For three years, CampHost Kurt, and his wife have been so gracious and hospitable…all the while doing a sparkling job keeping bathrooms and sites immaculate

For tent campers it's the best, most secluded place. You have to "hike/walk in" but there is a wagon available with the campsite host if needed. Speaking of, Kurt was absolutely amazing, and this was one of the best paid camping sites we have been to. Highly recommend!

Amazing views. Possibly the cleanest restrooms I’ve been in (vault ones that is). The views are amazing no matter which campsite you pick. Super glad neighbors were super quiet most of the time I was there. Only problem I have is why do they close so early? Some of us enjoy winter camping & this is an amazing spot near skiing, snowshoeing & hiking. I feel like is a missed opportunity. I will def be back again next fall.

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
