About Lowry Campground

At an elevation of 9,320 feet, Lowry Campground is located between Summit Cove and Breckenridge, Colorado in the White River National Forest. This campground is in close proximity to Dillon Reservoir and a handful of trails, making it an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.

The locations are clean and offer different amenities. There are also water stations available. The gentleman running the campground was also very polite and helpful with questions. Would recommend or go to this location again.

Campsites too crowded. Side by side is not acceptable in a national forest.

This particular campsite is excellent. There is one other that is also great, but the others are not. The rest are all very close together.

Beautiful campsite. Great views and good amenities. Only negative is that my campsite had small pieces of trash from the previous visitor (cigarette butts and beer cans). Only a minor inconvenience however. Great time overall.

Camping spots are very close together and very small. If you have a close group of friends with small campers or tents no problem. Our site said 40 foot camper would fit. We did but the spot sucked.

Beautiful park. We stayed on site 23, but will get a longer site next time, as this was extremely hard to back a 34 ft. fifth wheel. Best site would have been 24. Loved watching the chipmunks.

Our site and the one next door were divided by a row of rocks. We really had to squeeze trailer and truck in. Should be tent or truck camper sites only. Tables and grills for both of these sites were well up a hill, making it difficult to access for lesser abled bodies. Too close to toilets, as we could definitely smell them at times and needed toilet paper refills more often. POSITIVE: The views are great if you overlook the trailers, rigs... Sunsets beautiful. The trees are coming up well and it will be a great campground in a few more years. Great location to access small towns and shops nearby. We will likely go here again, but use a different site.

Nice campsite with water pumps and multiple bathrooms. No dishwashing area but we just packed out and threw out our grey water. Campground host was super nice. Campground is super open - great view of the stars on a clear night. Campsites are kind of close to each other, but didn't find it to be a problem - maybe those with RV's might find it to be more of a problem.

One of the cleanest campground restrooms I've ever been in. The camp host was on it! Very professional. This wasn't my first choice....but it turned out to be my best choice. Fabulous views! Small and quiet. Convenient to town.
