What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

Lovely campground with fairly private spaces. Dense young trees and beautiful wildflowers in summer. Lake access was great. Bathrooms were closed but portopotties were there as a replacement.
We hope to come back!

peak One is a well maintained campground. Our site was situated well, where we had screening from neighbors. Not all sites have that. It was a short walk to the Lake, and there are nice hiking/biking trails right there.

This campgrounds has no electricity, shade, or waste dump site. The cost is excessive considering that it is “dry” camping. It is more reasonable to drive 15 minutes north on Highway 9 and boondock for free.

This is really an ideal spot for easy family camping. Just a few steps from the reservoir and you can drop in a kayak or paddle board or watch an amazing sunset over mountains and water. Very close by are a range of options for hiking and biking - easy to more challenging trails, short to long trails. You're about 10-20 minutes from a gas station or Walmart if you forgot something critical. It's not secluded, if that's what you're looking for. Also when we went recently the bathrooms were out of service and replaced by porto-potties. I believe this is a temporary thing. The grounds are well-kept. The staff is friendly.

Love this campground! There’s a biking/hiking/running trail that runs along the border of the campground and lake.
