What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

Stayed for 3 nights in a tent the week after the 4th of July 2024. Our site was #66. Nice flat site, relatively secluded on 3 of the 4 sides. The campers behind us were viewable, but a good distance away, not a problem. At the time of our stay, the flush restrooms were out of order due to a water shortage, but the port a potties replacements were kept very clean. There was potable water still available. All in all, a very wonderful stay. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a simple quiet, no frills camping experience.

Loved it! Amazing views! Weather in May was perfect. Loved the nearby town of Frisco. Wish we had stayed longer!

Unfortunately, many of the bathrooms were closed. Otherwise, the campground is nice and neat.

The trees have grown in much more since the campsite photos were taken! You really can't see your neighbors through them. Just down the road is the put in ramp for non-motorized boats (kayaks, paddle boards, etc.). Day parking there is $8, but there's a short trail back to the campsite if you want to leave your car at your camping spot after unloading. Rather than the typical pit toilets, they had several port-a-potties in our loop, which were kept clean. The views of the mountains from the campsite were amazing!

Great location and good access to Lake Dillon. If you can get spots on the lake side, there is better shade and water access. Campground is always busy so do not expect serenity. It’s a fun spot in Summit County and the campground managers were non-intrusive and take good care of the place.

We had a beautiful camp site right next to the reservoir with great views and easy access to the water. Unfortunately the campground access roads were in terrible condition, with potholes everywhere and the restrooms were shut down due to improper winterization and issues with pumping sewage. As a result, port-a-potties were in place. Although they were cleaned regularly, they were not pleasant and it is very unfortunate the permanent restrooms were not available. Our picnic table was rotten in several places, making only about half of it usable. The area needs additional funding for repairs and replacement of many of the areas amenities.

Bathrooms were out of order for the first time in 5 years coming to Peak One. We missed the sink and flushing toilet.

We camp here about 20 days per year. Love the lake access and paved bike path. Unfortunately, the flush toilets were not working yet again. But the real issue is that they didn't bring in nearly enough porta-potty's. They only had four in the B loop when at least 8 to 10 were needed. The one's cleaned on Friday were full by Sat night--had to do the hover so to speak. It's under a new management company and I think the old management company did a better job. Still, we will keep going for the reasons listed at the beginning.
