Spot 12 is lovely! There were other spots with great views and some not great for car camping. I don’t think spot 12 is amazing for tents but plenty of room for 2 cars!

I love the location of this campground. The views are fantastic. Tge sites are well spaced apart. It’s a quiet place filled with kids’ laughter during the day. My only suggestion is to add gravel to the sites. The dust is a bit much.

Not much shade at this camp site. I would recommend bringing a canopy, but ample flat space for two tents

It was unexpectedly beautiful and memorable camp night. We only stayed for the night but I would stay longer if I had more time. It is June so it's hot during the day but cold summer night so we weren't exactly ready for a very chilly night in a tent. We had layers of clothing and blankets but I'd bring a sleeping bag or more blankets next time.

Great campsites, we enjoyed the spacing between the different campsites. Peaceful stay, beautiful scenery, great trails for bike riding and close to Dillon reservoir (even though the water was really low).

Peak One is a wonderful location, right on Lake Dillon, a few minutes to Main Street in Frisco, and just a short drive or bike ride to Breckenridge. The camp hosts were wonderful! They welcomed us upon our arrival. Our site was a nice size and we love being able to walk to the lake. We really enjoyed our stay at Peak One and will be back.

Getting There
From I-70, take Frisco exit 203. Travel south on Highway 9 to Peninsula
Recreation Area. Follow road approximately 2 mi to Peak One
Campground. Please note that the new entrance to the campground is one-eighth
mile south of the Frisco Peninsula Area.
Highway access
Peak One Campground is accessible via I-70 at exit 203, followed by a southbound route on Highway 9 for approximately 2 miles.

General
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Body contact with reservoir prohibited; no swimming, water skiing, jetskiing, or scuba diving in the reservoir
- Filling RV tanks with water prohibited
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (ELEVEN) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.

- Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday.
- Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day.
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site at 11:00am on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
