What Guests Are Saying
Peak One Campground boasts a fantastic location near trails, towns, and Lake Dillon, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers good privacy between sites. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities, as vault toilets remain closed and only porta-potties are available, which some guests found less than satisfactory.

Nice base camp for the area. Close to interstate, Fresno, and Breck. Hikes along the reservoir were very pleasant. With all the trees and bends, folks can "sneak up" on you, so careful if you have any skittish dog. Great views!

Beautiful campground. Close to amenities but still feels secluded.

No doubt this is an excellent campground in terms of location and recreational options. However, for some reason it is poorly maintained in spite of its popularity and the above positive attributes. Case in point, the bathrooms. They were not functional last year and remain not functional this year. Specifically they are locked for the most part and when open, most of the fixtures do not work. Clearly there is a problem that is preventing these plumbing issues from being addressed. Port-a-potties abound. The website should clearly state that these published resources are not available so campers who are expecting them are informed.

Wonderful site, except no water as of this year and the roads have many big potholes that have been there for at least a couple of years and need to be repaired. Very hard on campers.

Always a good time, walking the lakes perimeter trail, moose peeping, evening fires, outdoor cooking, boat rentals. It’s the best and close to Denver with a few hours drive

American Land and Leisure is the new contractor and hopefully will fix many problems left by the previous contract co. Road is badly in need of repair and also toilets. This is one of the best located campgrounds for recreational access in Summit County or the state, it should get funding from the county for improvements. Not sure if it does already. But it should be a priority. It should also stay open longer in the fall. Last year it closed very early.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday. |

Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
