Site 47 is a nice site, however, there are 2 other sites directly across the street and when vehicles are parked near the street it makes it next to impossible to back a trailer longer than 16 ft into site 47. Every time we stay at 47 we have to ask the campers across the street to move their trucks so we can make the turn to back our 19 ft trailer in.
Access to the lake is through the campsites across the street if you are hauling kayaks, paddleboards, etc. Fortunately, most campers don't mind accessing the lake next to or through their site.
This is the second year there have been issues with the bathrooms, which sit high on a hill, about a 50 ft steep climb. Last year they were closed and this year the sinks didn't work. The camp host seemed to take his frustration out on the campers, run up to them with his arms waving and yelling that they were leaving the bathroom door open. The camp host was stressed most of the time which made campers around us uncomfortable.

Beautiful views from this campsite & close walk to the lake. We had full AT&T reception the whole time. Felt fairly private w/ the surrounding trees and all fellow campers quiet & respectful. Only downside was being right next to the campsite host who had several very loud dogs barking anytime someone came by...

Nice spacious camp sites with plenty of trees and room between sites. We only stayed one night and it was early in the season so the facility still needed some work. The flush toilets did work, but the men’s sink did not. Nice location near the quaint town of Frisco and close to Breck & Silverthorn. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location close to trails, town and the water. Was disappointing to have the restrooms closed and have porta-potties as the only option, especially since the porta-potties were located at the edge of our campsite.

Getting There
From I-70, take Frisco exit 203. Travel south on Highway 9 to Peninsula
Recreation Area. Follow road approximately 2 mi to Peak One
Campground. Please note that the new entrance to the campground is one-eighth
mile south of the Frisco Peninsula Area.
Highway access
Peak One Campground is accessible via I-70 at exit 203, followed by a southbound route on Highway 9 for approximately 2 miles.

General
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Body contact with reservoir prohibited; no swimming, water skiing, jetskiing, or scuba diving in the reservoir
- Filling RV tanks with water prohibited
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (ELEVEN) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.

- Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This precents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on a Saturday.
- Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day.
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site at 11:00am on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
