Amazing host that helped me and my confuseed family out and was very warm and welcoming. The site was in good condition and I would definitely go back, this time with Dillion res with a little more water! 9/10

Site was in the trees which made it quiet and slight wind help in providing a cooling breeze. The site was a back-in site but at about 2:00 o’clock bearing to the road. Required backing around about 270 degrees to get into site. Tight but doable with smaller motorhome.

The campsite was in a beautiful spot and was well kept. The bathroom (drop toilets) was fully stocked with toilet paper. Some of our neighbors were noisy in the middle of the night, which can happen anywhere. Even with low water levels the walk to the water was gorgeous and we enjoyed paddle boarding and the convenience of walking over to the water from our campsite.

I had a great view from my campground. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There are also a few short hiking trails around the Lake. There is an easy trail that takes you to the water's edge at Lake Dillon. A very beautiful place.

We stayed in the A loop - plenty of space betwen sites (seemed to be that way for all loops). Very quiet campground. Campground didn't have any water but that's hopefully only a temporary situation and not really their fault. Vault toilet was immaculately clean. Campground host very friendly and I saw her/them patrolling around in their golf cart on a number of occasions. Fire ban in the whole White River forest (which this campground is in) meant no campfires while we were there :-( Excellent cell phone and mobile data reception (T-Mobile)

From I-70, take the Silverthorne exit 205. Travel east on Highway 6,
approximately 4 miles to Swan Mountain Road. Turn right and travel for 2
miles to Prospector and Windy Point Campground sign. Take dirt road 1
mile to campground entrance.
Access to Prospector Campground is via I-70, with the Silverthorne exit 205 leading to Highway 6, which is approximately 4 miles from the campground.
Elevation: 2803 feet

General
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
- Body contact with reservoir prohibited; no swimming, water skiing, jetskiing, or scuba diving in the lake
- Prevent the spread of invasive species by inspecting and cleaning packs, equipment, and tires before using lake or trails
- Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (ELEVEN) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Any accepted senior passes must be entered for the discount at the time of booking for single sites only.

- Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday.
- Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day.
- It is imperative that you are clear from the site at 11:00am on your check out day so the host can come prepare the site for the next event. Please don't be the group that makes the incoming group have to wait.
