What Guests Are Saying
Burns Lake Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and dark skies for stargazing. The campground features spacious, primitive tent sites with lovely views of the lake and access to wildlife and hiking trails. While some visitors noted minor issues, such as noise from nearby campers and basic facilities, the friendly camp host and overall serene atmosphere contribute to a positive camping experience.

Burns Lake is a beautiful peaceful spot. We only spent one night there on our way to Key West and one night on our way out. But each visit was very nice.

Burns Lake is a quiet getaway. The sites are all pull through and include a picnic table and fire pit. If you want to experience a rustic camping adventure in your RV, this is the place to visit.

Isolated and out of the grid campground just 12 miles away from Everglades City. The hosts keep restroom clean and garbage is collected daily. Rangers patrol de campground frequently. Do not go close to the lake and do not take your pet close to the lake either . It is infected with alligators. The lake is not safe either not even for boating , it is extremely deep, and the Florida heat create current toward the bottom, even if you do not see. That is not a natural lake but an artificial reservoir from where the ground was taken to build the campground soil above the Everglades sea grass

I love Burns Lake Campground. The place is very quiet and tranquil in the mist of nature. The hosts there are awesome people. Going back again very soon. You can do kayaking/canoeing nearby. They also have backcountry trails nearby plus other activities as well.
