I love this campground. It is a great getaway for the weekend. I am not a hunter but I enjoy hiking in Big Cypress. Stargazing is my favorite, no light pollution and you are able to see the sky, peaceful feeling.

Loved the campground and especially the tent area. Quiet and scenic with a gator or two relaxing at the edge of the water. A very different experience than Midway where the tent area is cramped and loud.
A word of caution, however. Every night after 9pm several vehicles drive into the tent despite the sign at the entrance saying the tent section is full. One night some strange guy pulled right into our site and spent the night sleeping in his car! My girlfriend did not feel safe after that.
The campground has two hosts. Surely they can provide better security.

Very quiet campground. Very clean. Camp host was super nice and made sure all the rules were followed. He even gave me some of his firewood when I ran out. I can’t wait to go back.

Nice peaceful and quiet wilderness campground- at least the tent sites. Some beautiful sunrises over the lake. And only about 40- 50 minutes from Marco Island and Naples beaches.

Very well maintained, bathrooms very clean. We enjoyed the fact that it is a bit smaller and less campers so it was quiet for the 5 nights we stayed there. Very well located for a lot of things we have interest in.
And our Verizon jet pack regularly had a decent enough signal for us to use our data.

Love the primitive campground. Night stars were amazing. Unfortunately the dew is so heavy there it is hard to enjoy the evenings or mornings as everything gets soaked to the bode even on the most beautiful clear days and nights. But the quiet and solitude are perfect for peaceful camping.

This is one of the most peaceful spots we have visited. The view of the lake is perfect and the experience of seeing all the wildlife and waterfowl around just makes it perfect. Not to mention that the host and his wife from Wisconsin were just the friendliest folks. Thanks for the stay. We will be having to come back to visit.
