Our Cub Scout pack had a terrific time tent camping at Monument Lake! The bathroom and dishwashing facilities were nearby, which made things easy for our first-time camping families. Thanks for being such a wonderful Camp host, Sheryl!
The mosquitoes during the March astronomy program at Big Cypress were numerous and aggressive, so if you’re planning on that one, go prepared with well-covered skin and plenty of spray. (Not a single buzz while at the campground, though.)

Beautiful site! Great reception when we arrived, showers we're lovely and warm. Plenty of toilets. Bear proof bins. Got to see both sunrise and sunset from the same spot. Saw some alligators in the lake (from a sensible distance). Nice quiet site so got a good sleep in. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed at lot 34. Nice view of sunset. Quiet and weather was beautiful in March. Property was clean.

Only stayed for one night and enjoyed every moment. Absolutely beautiful location in a remote setting. Staff there were so welcoming. Sat out at night star gazing. Walked dog around the lake in the morning. We were lucky to have a nice breeze so had no issues with mosquitos at all. Wonderful experience. I would definitely like to visit again.

What a wonderful place to camp within Big Cypress NP! One suggestion would be to use something on the roads to create less dust even when driving slow!

As every time we have been there, the hosts knew what they were telling us, the site was everything we expected, and the scenery was outstanding. A few more alligators swimming in the lake would have been icing on the cake, but it was wonderful as always. A gem hidden in the swamp!

Beautiful site, with great sunsets, the lake is pretty with some gators, the bathrooms were incredibly nice and clean, a good amount of wildlife, amazing trees, and a great space overall.
