What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Petersburg is the only COE campground with an open loop through the winter. The sites are very large and on the water. Great stay every time!

Beautiful campground! Visited during Winter, only 1 loop open due to low demand. Most sites
I saw were on lake. Well kept full bath house. Will definitely return! Even with 39 degree weather, worth the trip!

Beautiful setting, clean and large lots. It was a little cold, which no one can control, but still well worth a visit. I'm sure we will return!

Walked the campground several times and I do not think there is a bad site.
Never used the showers. Took advantage of the hiking trails. Easy hikes.

Petersburg campground is a top rate facility. The open loop during the Winter has sites on and off the lake but they are all very large and mostly private.

No power had to leave early. Didn’t get a return call for refund like we were told.

We thoroughly enjoyed our too short visit. The site was well groomed, clean and spacious. Looking forward to our next stay and making it longer.

The facilities are wonderful and the campground itself is great.
The camp hosts were sub par, they were never around and The phones were never answered. This made the experience more stressful than it needed to be.

This is a beautiful park, sites are spacious, with lots in the area to do. We have stayed here many times before. This time though, we were just passing thru, only wanted one night stay, however the park policy is a two night minimum. So we had to pay double for a one night stay.
