What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Camp site was awesome. Lots of room. Easy to get into. Bathrooms were straight out of a horror movie. Staff members were great.

We stayed in site 6A. PLenty of room for our 38 ft class A, car and trailer. Site was fairly level and the views were amazing. Park staff were great and the peace and beauty of the COE refreshed our souls.
T Mobile cell service was intermittent. Great walking trails, the bike trails were really only good for mountain bikes but we thoroughly enjoyed walking the area. South Carolina very close. Lots of great fishing if that is your thing.

This park is on the lake and most sites have the water just a few feet from the site. very nice park, lots of walking on park roads and on Bartram Trail that crosses thru this campground.

Site 25 was the most beautiful campsite I’ve ever stayed at. Site was level with an amazing view of the lake. No ants the last week of February. Was able to talk/text with T-Mobile, but had a hard time sending pictures. Overall, I had a great time here and can’t wait to go back.

Great time of year to camp here --kids are still in school, no crowds, quiet nights, and reasonably comfortable temperatures. Happy to see that site 2's "Grand Canyon " entrance has finally been filled and leveled.

The park is nice. The spot we were in, 19A, I would not recommend. It stayed wet the entire time we were there. The run-off from the previous rains continued to keep the area wet. I would stay again in another spot. If you want solitude this is the park to be in. The trail was nice to walk.

One of our favorite places to camp! Most camp sites are large. Restrooms clean. Plenty of opportunities to bike ride, kayak, fish, and enjoy the beautiful lake view. Will definitely be back!
