What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Upon arrival, we were given a lovely site nettled at the end of an inlet and very private. I had only found two sites left on line that were not on the water. The attendant found us this great site! We hiked the Bartram Trail and had a wonderful two days there.

We stayed at site 13 at Petersburg Campground at the end of March, 2022 in our class B camper van.Site was spotless, leveled with one block on the passenger side. The campfire grill was in need of repair and not operational. We used the charcoal grill instead.
The site is close to the bathhouse with a short walk. Bathhouse was very clean and plenty of water pressure and hot water. Trails are well marked and easy walking.
It was our second time at this site and would return for sure.

Petersburg is one of our favorite campgrounds. Most of the sites are waterfront and so close to the water you feel like you're sleeping in a lake house. Great hiking/biking/kayaking both within walking distance and a bit farther. Bath houses have always been clean.
