What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Petersburg Campground is our "Go to" campground. Plenty of sites on the water and they are spacious with lots of trees. Petersburg is the cleanest campground we've been to. Not to mention the lake is gorgeous!!! We've been twice this year and are ready to go back again!

Loved our campsite 04A. Huge site and we caught some really nice catfish off the bank! Loved it! Kids loved the park you could see from our site!

The camp host helped me and my wife when we were moving to a different site. She's an awesome lady.

Petersburg campground was a beautiful spot. The sites were spaced far apart, the campground was clean and workers were there doing spring landscaping. The grocery store was reasonably close and we had plenty of walking trails to make the dog happy. We would definitely go back.

The park overall is great - our favorite. It's looking so much better now that the volunteers are cleaning out some underbrush. I would like to see a lot more of this. I don't like the narrow side roads in the first loop - not big rig friendly. I see where some of the washed out areas are being repaired, but the site repairs (especially 56) are not anywhere close to level and the loose, heavy coating of gravel isn't packed at all and is going to be an issue and I can see people spinning out and digging it right back up.
