What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We loved the seclusion. Each site was in its own space, not right on top of our neighbors. The width of the spaces was amazing. Lots of rooms for our kids to play outside. The biggest problem we had was getting into our site. It was long enough, but the drive was not appropriate for backing in or pulling through. We had to pass our site, turn around in the next site, and then enter of campsite from the opposite direction to get our 42ft fifth wheel in. It was a challenge, but the only bad part of our stay. We would stay here again!

I'd rather this park stay relatively unknown so getting reservations isn't impossible.

A wonderful campground on the lake, with large, separated sites. Most are pull-throughs. Electric and water only, a dump station at the entrance. We enjoyed our stay.

We’ve camped at Petersburg only three times, but overall the experiences have been great, though we have noticed sites 4 and 47 could use some attention to the grading because the rain washes right through the sites in front of the camper door. We will continue to camp there because it’s a beautiful place.
