We had a great time at this beautiful campground. Our site had a view of the lake through the trees. The bath house was quite a distance from our loop. It was adequate and clean though. There was self check in which was fine. We were a bit nervous about the roads after reading reviews, but we had no problems at all with a 26β trailer. Like others said, just take it slow, and youβll be fine. We would definitely return here.

The campground was very shady, had lovely views of the lake peeking through the trees, and wildlife encounters with a doe and her fawns! The bathrooms were a short (albeit uphill) walk from our campsite; I always had hot water and didn't have to wait to use the facilities at any time. For our specific campsite (#5), be warned that it is a concrete pad- it says it is available to book with a tent, but does not have a gravel tent pad like other sites do. Regardless, the site was clean, spacious, and a comfortable distance away from other campsites. I would highly recommend booking Doll Mountain Campground to anyone passing through the Ellijay area.

I will definitely return to this campsite. Itβs beautiful! It was a little difficult climbing up and down the hill each time to the car, but it was worth it to camp at such a beautiful site. The bathrooms were nice, clean, and relatively close as well.
