What Guests Are Saying
Doll Mountain Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and friendly, helpful hosts. Many visitors enjoyed spacious, private sites with stunning views of Carters Lake and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, as well as nearby attractions like Ellijay and Blue Ridge. However, some concerns were raised about parking difficulties, the distance to restrooms, and noise from other campers disrupting the tranquility. Overall, it is recommended as a great camping destination with a serene environment.

We love the campground but this is the second time we’ve had roof damage as we drove in or out. It’s ridiculous the amount of trees hanging low! The black pine trees as you enter about 1/2 mile in are the worst but there are so many we have to swerve around but now you can’t even miss them! I have to have my roof fixed where the limb cut the top nearly all the way down! This is the 2nd repair due to the negligence of clearing the trees off the top hanging! Those pines are rough and don’t bend! They also damaged the antenna cover! It cost me $800 this trip! Do better Corps of Engineers at Doll Mtn!

We have camped there for about 4 years and it has been very enjoyable. Like the new bathhouse is very nice, and I would love for the other bathhouse to be upgraded. But my biggest concern is the rochbugs. They were at at least two campsites. Two actually got into my camper. I do NOT want to bring them home.

It is not a bad site but it rained twice and flooded both times. It had no run off . Had to dig a trench in two places for it to drain. It is ok if no rain is called for. Don't think we will choose doll mountain. It doesn't provide what we prefer in a Campground. But probably would be great for others. There is no swimming area so if you are a boat person it would be perfect for you.

Always enjoy staying at Doll Mountain! Very peaceful and quiet. We live less than 10 minutes from there but feel like we are hours away ❤️.

We loved our experience at site 31. We even re-booked for a couple of weeks from now. Easter, electricity, a great view, an expansive site, well maintained. We drove around and looked at all the sites, and this was one of our top favorites. We lucked out!
