What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

We were not informed the campsite we booked (19) was walk-in only until after arriving. This didn’t work for us since we had a campervan. It seemed like several of our neighbors were double booked for reservations as well. The sites were great, esp the walk-in ones; it’s too bad we weren’t able to actually stay at the site we booked due to a lack of information up front.

Site 19 is a walk-in so few minutes walk but large, with a table, protected under a hudge tree and the view is just gorgeous. We LOVED it and didn’t want to leave! The rangers were really nice too. You have water and flush toilets at the visitor center not far.

There’s no running water at the campground. You must bring in all the water you need for drinking as well as cleaning dishes, etc.
I hope they open oheo pools for swimming at some point in the near future.

A wonderful location!!! Very windy but sound of the crushing waves is a lullaby during for your stay, especially if you are going to stay in one of the numbered areas near the rocks.

Took my family here July 17 and had a blast! It's not wilderness camping by anymeans and the amenities are there, pretty clean pit toilets, grill/picnic table at each site. No running water. It's as nice as it gets for camping in my book!
