Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Rangers were helpful and came around every day. Bathrooms clean and trash picked up daily.

This is a nice campground with amazing views of the water off the cliffs. If you are able to, book a walk in site. SItes 16 and 17 are very close to the parking area so not too far to walk. I set up my tent looking out over the ocean, but after the storm came the second night I would now put my tent further back protected by the trees if I were to camp there again. The road from the campground to Hana is only 9.5 miles, but takes about 45 minutes to drive because of the narrow winding road, but it's a nice drive. I booked an early morning reservation for Wai‘ānapanapa State Park (black sand beach) for a three hour slot and then took a hang gliding flight with Hang Gliding Maui which is ten minutes from the park at the Hana airport. The park is beautiful and the flight was spectacular! I camped one more night at Kipahulu then drove the remote road around the south end of Maui to get back to Kahului. I would highly recommend this campground.

Lovely spot down by the coast in the National Park. Camp table and grill were provided at the spot itself, 4 pit toilets were shared on the field. Check-in could not have been easier. Great experience!

Shouldn't have to pay to access park if already booked campsite

Amazing experience! Despite the car camping grounds being like one giant open space, the sites are nicely spread out giving everyone in the respective site some decent space. No running water, electricity -- they did have very clean toilets.
Get ready for a stellar spectacle!

Beautiful area with fun hiking! We loved camping by the ocean in our camper van and taking in the sunrise! Would definitely recommend to stay here!
