What Guests Are Saying
Kipahulu Campground offers a stunning location with breathtaking views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground features spacious sites, well-maintained bathrooms, and close proximity to the beautiful Pipiwai Trail. While some campers experienced noise disturbances and the campground lacks water and showers, the overall serene atmosphere and natural beauty make it a memorable experience for many.

Fantastic spot! My thanks to the staff who kept the park running during the shutdown. You can tell they take pride in their work. My only wish was that I could camp there longer than three days! Please loosen up that regulation.

No water. Most sites flat. Limited cover/shade at most sites.

Camping in Hawaii. You can’t get much more idyllic than that. Like most NPS campgrounds, there are only pit toilets for amenities, but oh! The views! The hike on Pipiwai trail was amazing, and if you camp, you can start early and have the trail to yourself! I am recommending to everyone. We had a campervan so our site was easily accessed. The tent sites have better views but you do park away from your site so you have to carry your gear, but the sites are gorgeous so to me it would be worth it.
