Absolutely love this camp ground. The spaces are wide which gives you plenty of privacy. The half bridge over the Des Moines river is a must see as the view is spectacular.

Howell Station is a beautiful campground and the camping sites are spaced to allow some privacy. We see deer in the campground often which is fun.

The campground is well maintained, and the shower houses were surprisingly clean and fresh smelling. We had a nice time geocaching with our grandson.

Great campground. Clean, quiet, nice spacing, and great walking/biking trails right there. Bring your bikes and ride all around Lake Red Rock.

We always enjoy Howell Station, especially in the fall. It's quiet, cool, and just so pleasant. It's great during the summer too- lot's of space between camping sites, paved roads, well kept, and the volunteers are so kind and do a great job. Our favorite place to camp!
