I like that you can book great spots 4 days in advance instead of 6 months.

If you want beautiful scenery and relaxation this is the place to go. We watched beautiful sunsets and sunrises every morning sitting on the lake. The spaces between other campers was nice you wasnβt right on top of the other. You had your own pavilion and the campsites were angles just right where you come out of your door and had lake view. We drove almost 8 hours but well worth it. We will be going back.

Traveling from coast to coast, this has been one of my favorite "off season" stops for camping overnight. Very quiet and beautiful. Spacious sites.

We stayed at Canning Creek campground in a travel trailer for 2 nights. Site was plenty (huge) big enough. Our site was beautiful and back up to the lake. When we want into town a school teacher asked where we were camping, I told her Canning Creek she said it was the old folk's campground. Old folks or not we loved it. I should say we are young old folks. Our neighbors were great too. If we are ever in the area again, we will stay here again. Showers were clean did not use restrooms. Peaceful place to camp. Best campground we stopped at from Ohio to California.
