Beautiful well kept campground.
One recommendation is to have a dumpster for the trash not trash cans.

I would have given an excellent review but I donβt want the secret of how wonderful this lake is to get out.

The group site and shelter building were well maintained and clean. Plenty of tables for everyone to sit, cooking areas were clean. The trash was picked up daily and the guy was pleasant and friendly. The restroom closest to the site was clean when we arrived on Thursday. It was not cleaned or stocked during our four-day camp even though a sign on the building said it was cleaned daily. On Saturday we stopped the Ranger and asked for someone to stock the toilet paper as it was out. It was still out when we left on Sunday. Our group and several of the single sites used the restroom and shower, so it was often busy. At $110 per night, it doesn't seem too much to expect a clean and stocked restroom.

Clean individual restrooms and shower room. The electric campsites still need boat docks to keep your boat in the water overnight.

the park was nice, but there was no host or authority to be found. Nobody at the gatehouse to help finding my site, and your online website doesn't show campsites, only a generalized map of roads in the park. I did find my site by asking other campers. But when I got to my site, which had been reassigned by my arrival delay, it was a site with no shade and no water at the site, only electric. I had very noisy neighbors driving in and out late into the night. I think a host or supervision might be a good idea for the future. In other ways, and at other sites I would happily return to Canning Creek.

The hot water in the shower house closest to camp site was not working.

One of my favorite places to camp and kayak in KS. Bathrooms, trash receptacles, and plenty of dog walking areas. We took a trip into Council Grove to go antiquing and plant shopping, and saw the Northern Lights making it a memorable Mothers Day weekend.

The entire camping area was beautifully maintained. The solo bathroom was clean and perfect for what it was. And the bathrooms and showers building was also clean and well maintained. I was beyond satisfied, I was impressed. If only you could have held off the rain and colder than expected temperatures it would have been perfect.

One of the best lakes for camping Kansas.

Beautiful park with lots of green space and trees. Very well maintained. Saw workers there everyday. Trash was picked up daily. Hot showers with good water pressure. Site 2 was not level even though it is blacktop. Sites 2, 3 and 4 (pull-thru sites) are very close together. Thankfully sites 3 and 4 were empty when we were there. All other sites are nicely spaced. Would stay at a different site next time.
