What Guests Are Saying
Sylvan Park is a well-maintained campground noted for its large, shaded pull-through sites and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, including hot showers and restrooms, as well as the friendly camp hosts. While some trees require hazard limb removal, the park's quiet location below the dam, along with easy access to nearby recreational activities, makes it a favorite among campers.

I recently started camping in federal parks built by the Army Corp of Engineers. Sylvan was a beautiful, quiet and we'll maintained area. I loved being able to book campsites with full hookups using the filter in the App. Reservations were super easy. The dam is massive as is the lake and surprising, given the Great Plains flatness for hundreds of square miles around it. The water was extremely clear! Wanted to swim, but ran out of time. We also had a rip roaring thunderstorm the night of our stay! Price for site was excellent. The only downside, which could be a plus for those campers wanting to escape, is there was no cell service. The sites were down in a valley, so no cellular for one night. It was actually nice to escape. We'll be back!
