This was a nice little primitive campground with all the basics you need, but I feel that it should be cheaper, since they aren’t providing anything extra aside from the space.

Perhaps the camps are a bit close together, but this didn’t end up being a problem for my particular night and neighbors. There was also trash in the fire pit that I had to clean up, but that is a result of the previous campers.

Fantastic spot! Secluded and right on the river. We did a Canoe trip and spent the night here. I was surprised at how clean the port-a-johns were. Thank you for having TP too!

It is a small, tent-only campsite where the sites are relatively close together. For what it is, it’s very nice. Don’t go there expecting anything fancy and you’ll have a good time. Our campsite #2 was a bit smaller than the others but that worked just as well. Bring disinfectant wipes for the porta potties and you’ll have a blast!

I knew the campground was small and didn’t mind the sites being close to one another as that’s what I expected given the size. However, too many visitors were in and out all night. Seems like they were locals visiting their friends staying at the campsite, and for such a small campground it should be pet-free. There were 2 dogs barking all night. I moved to the main campground the next day and had a much better experience.

It might be nice to stay here if you’re a large group and can occupy multiple sites at Houchin Ferry, However, if you’re traveling as a pair or solo, I do not recommend this place at all. If you must stay here, I would book the sites farthest away from the entrance, I think #s 9 and 10.

Super chill, quiet, peaceful. Morning meditation on the river was amazing. Campground was well looked after, very tidy. Those of us came here to not be in a bustling campground, so every camper was full on board and delightful.

Great campsite. About 25min from main area of park. Grocery store and gas station within 5 minutes is a plus though.

Campground was easy to find. Being next to the river was nice and peaceful. Nice fire pits and tables at each site. The portable toilets were very clean. The campsites are pretty small and very close together, so when the campground was pretty full on our first night, it gets loud because you’re so close together.

When planning our trip, we picked this campground because it was smaller and we thought it would be quieter. Once we got there, we found that the campsites were right on top of each other. When we passed the big campground, we noticed that the sites were nicer.
