The short informational loop around the Bay Furnace Ruins was interesting. The campground location is close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, be sure to visit that while you're in the area.

Great location and sites were nicely spread out. Appreciated the dump site and we enjoyed being close to the big lake. Overall good, but the road in is brutal.

Please fix the road coming into the park. Horrible. Camping was fine, bathrooms clean, park was quiet

Great location with easy access to Munising and Pictured Rocks. Everything is well maintained, including the vault toilets, camp sites and the picnic area. The picnic area is a great place to see a nice sunrise over the bay and Grand Island. The location is not that far from the main highway, which is good for a quick trip to the gas station for supplies, but there is some low rumble road noise in the background and the occasional Harley rider that will break the tranquility during nice weather.

We stayed in site 001. Trees were touching the RV on both sides (5th wheel toy hauler). It was difficult to get backed on because of this and then to pull out. We had to fix a gutter, etc. Nothing to terrible. This is the reason for three stars. Some trimming would make it much better. Our entire rig fit in the site fine. 32 ft. 5th wheel plus crew cab full bed truck. This would be a good hot weather site - plenty of shade. No view though. The campground overall is nice. There is a bit of noise from the “town” but we slept fine on a cold night with windows shut. We used the dump station which is in good working order and added 100 gals. fresh water to our tank. Water tasted good to us. We’ll stay again but I’ll try for a different site.

Great clean campground, was a little confused about needing to check in or not though.
