Been going there for 30 years. First time using the reservation system. System worked great and the beauty of the campground is the same as always. The pictures of the campsites sites online were very helpful. Book early to get the best sites.

Great location near Pictured Rocks. Campground hosts kept pit toilets, each camp site, and the common spaces spotless. Seriously, each camp site was raked. We had one of the worst sites (this camp ground is hard to get into) and there was very good privacy. Highly recommend the campground if you don't need electricity or showers.

One of the best camp grounds I've been too. Very clean. Picturesque. Camp ground host kept the supply of fire wood at an ample amount.

Clean and quiet. We will be back. I’d rather enjoy the peace and serenity of Bay Furnace with no amenities than the chaos of a full campground with power. Bring your bikes and your the area. Beautiful views.

Amazing spot on Lake Superior in the UP. Beach with raging waves in walking distance. A perfect place to watch the stars above Lake Superior.

Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground. |

Reserved Sites will be held until checkout time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of the second day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. |

Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation. |

Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity). |
