Our family had 3 campsites. We were close to the water - beach was nice and not crowded. Perfect for Covid. The other 2 sites were very wooded and nice. That's camping! Very nice, quiet and private sites. Camped there before and wanted to come back and were glad we did.

Beautiful spot, right along the shores of Lake Superior. You can hear the noise from M-28, especially at night, but other than that a nice spot for an overnighted or longer stay.

Bay furnace is a cool site, having the blast furnace on site is really cool. There were a lot of people driving by looking for 'first come first serve' sites, so that is slightly annoying, but overall the site was great, bathrooms are really clean and there are some great spaces to hang out and the beach is really nice. Bring some time of foot cover as there is old slag/glass from the blast furnace, which is actually really cool, but sharp on bare feet :)

The campground was clean and quiet. Pit toilets are never fun, but the one near our site received daily attention. It rained heavy one morning and our tent was in standing water If you camp at site 13, place your tent on the front of the tent pad [closer to the road and further from the lake].

We love this campground. It was our second time here. Sites are large and shaded. Day use area is beautiful. Great views of Lake Superior and close to Munising. Had 3 bars of ATT too!

This is in my opinion one of the best places to camp near Pictured Rocks if you aren't able to camp in the park (and possibly even if you are). The campsites are well separated from each other and many of them have lots of shade and trees. There is beach access to Lake Superior directly from the campground (directly from some individual sites as well). You can hear light background noise from M28 depending on your site, but I didn't find it to be annoying or bothersome. I would highly recommend camping here!

Mosquitoes were crazy, but the host was on top of firewood and the site was great!
