What Guests Are Saying
Ausable River Camping offers a beautiful and serene environment, with spacious, well-maintained sites and picturesque views of the river. Campers appreciate the remote, rustic charm and the opportunities for fishing and hiking. While there are some concerns regarding ticks, road conditions, noise from generators, and occasional issues with campsite bookings, many visitors still express a strong desire to return for another experience in nature.

This is a great campsite (27C) but be aware that the landing is extremely shallow. My boat is a 16’ aluminum that runs shallow but we had issues loading in and loading out of the site. Probably best for a canoe/kayak trip. Loved the site itself but won’t book again due to damage of my hull from the rocks.

Nice site, easy trailer set up. Be aware the stairs down to the river is a public access site. Be ready to have a bunch of people stop and hang out right next to your site!

Great spot to camp, just note that there is NO access to the water. technically there is a trail that is >45 degrees steep will get you to a bit of the lake. But if you are wanting waterfront access, it is not a good place to stay. Go to the other side of the lake and there are spots right on the water if that is what you want.
