Nice site, easy trailer set up. Be aware the stairs down to the river is a public access site. Be ready to have a bunch of people stop and hang out right next to your site!

Great spot to camp, just note that there is NO access to the water. technically there is a trail that is >45 degrees steep will get you to a bit of the lake. But if you are wanting waterfront access, it is not a good place to stay. Go to the other side of the lake and there are spots right on the water if that is what you want.

Designated campsites are spread along 55 miles of river shoreline between the AuSable River Access at 4001 Bridge (7 miles northwest of Glennie, MI) to near the Whirlpool AuSable River Access (4 miles west of Oscoda, MI).
