We love this place. So much better than almost any state park. Campsites are clean. Everything works. It’s generally very quiet but, of course, there will be kids playing from time to time. The lake (Tenn-Tom waterway) is there for water sports. You are surrounded by giant pine trees in a peaceful environment. Just a great campsite.

Piney Grove is a very lovely campground. Mature trees, nice asphalt roads throughout, easy access to the water for fishing (on piers or from the bank), and a well maintained beach provide for an overall good experience. Be aware there is no Wi-Fi at the site, although there used to be. We brought along a Wi-Fi device I purchased online and still was not able to get onto the internet on my phone. For me, that is a big deal since I have to do a limited amount of work while I'm camping.
I find most of the camp hosts to be friendly and responsive to questions. (A few are not as friendly and helpful as most.)

Very beautiful & shady campground! Several camp sites offer views of the lake. Campground is very remote & quit! WiFi is ok at best. Great for walking exercise with slight rolling hills.

This is one of the nicest COE parks I've visited! It is designed for easy access, sites are not too close together, and the price was right! The design of the park is fantastic and each site was designed for comfort with concrete pads, fire pit, and picnic tables. And the adjoining river makes it a relaxing location for a quiet campout.

Nice area for camping. Facilities are run down. Amphitheater needs repair, bath house doors, and light fixtures rusting, boat ramp closed off due to broken concrete, fishing piers need repair. Lots of campers- don’t understand why they don’t have money to fix things.
