I have stated here a number of times. I don’t think there is a “bad”b site. This is a great park that is well maintained. The restrooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and the site had been cleaned. There is a lot to do and great places to ride a bike. I will continue to come back here often.

The couple on duty at the front entrance made us feel absolutely at home even though this was our first stay at Piney Grove. Camp sites are well spaced and all are in very good repair. This is a very well maintained park, so typical of Corp of Engineers facilities.

General
- You MUST have a reservation to camp. Attendants cannot do transactions at the gatehouse. Follow our Facebook page for more details https://www.facebook.com/USACEBSSO/?ref=settings
- Check-out time is 3:00 P.M. Check-in time is 4:00 P.M.
- Beginning November 15, 2021 loops 2 and 3 (Sites 55 - 139) will be closed until March 1, 2022. Loop 1 (Sites 3 - 54) will be open all winter.
- Only 4 vehicles (including camping unit) are allowed per site and must be parked on hard surfaces. Any additional vehicles can be parked in the overflow parking near the gatehouse.
- All vehicles must be street legal and only operated by a licensed driver. Golf carts, atvs, and battery operated scooters are prohibited.
- Bicycles must have lights when operated after dark.
- Remove all trash from your site before you leave and do not burn trash in the fire ring.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
