This campground was wonderful. From the peaceful atmosphere to the opportunity to watch the barges and other boats go up and down the Tombigbee. Bathrooms were as clean as could be expected. From the moment we entered the gate to when we left the host’s were very polite, and welcoming. Will definitely be re-visiting this campground.

Easy to reserve through recreation.gov, easy to check in. Park was clean and well maintained. Very close to Columbus, MS, so if you need supplies or want to do something not related to camping, it is very close by. Kids loved it, but almost no one there for spring break. Maybe 20 sites in use out of 100 - it was super cold, so a lot of people canceled. Plus it rained. Only playground was for little bitty kids, and it was hidden behind the bathrooms on the south loop. There was one set of swings near another set of bathrooms, and that's it for the kids. Each loop did have a combined basketball/volleyball court. And there a couple of trails for bicycles. So, very limited on things to do with kids. So bring games or something to keep the kiddos occupied. The scenery was amazingly beautiful, and it was very peaceful. It is a very relaxing place to stay, and we enjoyed the trip very much. We rode bikes and took a lot of long walks, played cards, made s'mores at the campfire and watched the stars shine at night. A nice little place to camp.

Our stay at Town Creek was great! Our site was awesome and the camp host/volunteer Micheal was phenomenal!!! He offered us firewood and was quite generous then helped us load it. He stopped by to visit and let us know about area attractions. We would see him in the campground thru out the day. He is a super person to have as a host/volunteer. We would definately come back!!

Nice campground. Clean bathhouses. Walking trails. Loved watching the boats and barges. riding bikes. It would’ve been nice had we known our site was a buddy site beforehand. Our neighbor didn’t know either until we got there. Will definitely be back.

We love Town Creek! It is well-kept with clean campsites and bathrooms. It is not so far out that you can’t run to a store, but far enough out that it’s a quiet get-away!"
