What Guests Are Saying
Indian Creek Campground is highly regarded for its beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained sites, surrounded by nature and offering easy access to hiking and Mark Twain Lake. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for many. While there were minor issues with booking and bathroom cleanliness, overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

We have been going to this location for 30 years and have always had a wonderful experience. This year with one restroom/shower house for 2 campgrounds it was not an enjoyable experience. I don't know who decided campgrounds don't need restrooms, but it was a very bad idea.
If there will not be enough restrooms for the campers without full hook-ups there should be many more full hook-up sites.
It is true many campers have bathrooms but many do not, especially pop-ups and tent campers. Even having a bathroom in a camper is not enough for a 10 day stay without a full hook-up.
This was not a well-thought out decision.
We were very disappointed with our stay and may have to find a different place to go next year. Our family rents about 12 campsites for 10 days every June for 30 years, but are rethinking this for another year.

They have closd/removed ALL of the bathrooms/shower houses in the east campground except for one. The park ranger told us they were going to replace them but they have planted grass/straw so doesnt seem anytime soon unless they will rebuild in another area.
This made our stay more busy and noisy (site 170)...and for the tenters/tiny campers it was most inconvenient. Additionally, the cleaning staff did a poor job often sitting in their vehicle for up to 30 minutes (waiting for the bathroom to clear when no one was n there) and there was never enough toilet paper (per comments from those that used those facilities)
When they removed the bathrooms they took what little wifi was there with it...just terrible.
Who ever makes these decisions obviously doesnt use the campground or feel that cell/wifi is needed!
Not sure we will return there.

Indian Creek Campground on Mark Twain Lake has clean and level sites. The restrooms in Night Hawk stayed clean while we were there. Marina was clean and staff was pleasant.

Always a good time and a very nice clean facility. We have been camping there since the 1990's. I was sorry to see several of the public restrooms had been removed. Makes for a long walk for our small grandchildren to walk to the bathroom.

Site was very nice, my other camping friends could of had a better experience if the info on there reserved sites gave the slope degree of the sight. Made a challenging time to level there campers. ATT could do a better job of locating towers around the multiple campgrounds trough out the Mark Twain lake area. Cell phone coverage was almost non existent. The wifi coverage that the Coor of Engineers campgrounds offered for 4 bucks a day was a complete joke. Especially when it's a holiday weekend. Add on top of that the poor cell coverage. Other than that it is a beautiful campgrounds with very spacious sites. You definitely are not packed in. I would return.
