Have always loved this campground, but they tore out both shower houses on the loop we camp so very inconvenient.

We were in site 102 West gate. I had to drive up on pads to get level, other than that it was a good site.
We drove to downtown Hannibal and walked Main Street and the river front. Didn’t tour the lighthouse or go into Mark Twain cave maybe next time.

A lot of fish carcasses in campsites and on road attracting vultures landing in sites. Need cleaning stations.

Very nice park, large sites, great place to hike, fish, and just relax. Clean well maintained, close to swimming beach, close to marina. Just a great place to be! Also some pretty cool small town’s nearby, antiques, restaurants ect. Mark Twain state park is close by, well worth the drive!

Beautiful view of lake; a gorgous dogwood in full bloom by shower house. Met nice people from all over. Walked trails and visited the welcome center at dam where we were impressed by the handicap accessable trails, overlook, play ground and picnic tables. The NE MO Vietnam war memorial was ncie.
