Had a great time at the park, everything was well kept. Looking forward to our next trip, hope the Corp can install more sewer sites for next year so it won’t be so hard to reserve.

This is a wonderful campground. The sites are spaced far apart and have long paved pads. Our site was fully shaded. Having full hookups at a campground this natural is rare.

The sites are well spread up amoung mature trees. Some hiking trails along the lake perimeter would be nice for exercise.

The campgrounds were decently clean notwithstanding lots of trees and limbs on the ground. Bathrooms were clean didn’t use the showers. My site “5” had water standing most of the time around the w/e/s hookups. Also the sewer “connection collar” was loose in the ground and allowed some leakage while dumping and was too high so my hose ran uphill. Otherwise we enjoyed the trails, wildlife and birds. Not much for shopping in Monroe City and it’s not that close, so load up when you go. Only 5 OTA channels and all were religious.

Sites are clean and people respectful of quiet hours. Cell phone service was available when we needed it as well. Great trail for walking too. This was our 2nd time here and we will stay again.

We reserved our site and I called about the size of the site. We have a 38 ft. travel trailer with slides on both sides. I asked if this site was big enough and the person told me it will be large enough. I did squeeze our trailer into the site, but had to adjust a couple times so we could get our slides out. One slide was an inch from a tree on one side and the slide on other side was very close to the water spigot and electrical pedestal. When we left we had to watch to make sure the tail end of trailer did not hit trees as we pulled out. The person we talked to must not know the layout of the campground. People taking reservations should be at the campground or at least know the layout of sites. There were plenty of sites that were not in use that would have handled our size camper better. Maybe the person checking people in could suggest moving to a better site if available.
