What Guests Are Saying
Emery Bay Campground offers stunning access to Hungry Horse Reservoir and is a serene alternative to the crowded campgrounds in Glacier National Park, just 20 minutes away. The campground is well-maintained with spacious, beautiful sites and friendly hosts who provide excellent service. While the access road is rough and some sites experience day-use traffic, campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and the opportunity for activities like paddle boarding and swimming in the lake.

The campsites are well maintained and easy to find. Comes with a big picnic table and fire pit. Quiet and gorgeous area and the lake is BEAUTIFUL. Would definitely go back. Dan, the camp host, was very nice and helpful! Went to Glacier National Park the next morning, it was about a 20min drive.

We did not realize that we had reserved a group spot. But we really like the fact that we had the whole site to our selves. The camp host was great. Really enjoyed the beautiful lake even though it did rain two of the three days we were there. Great access to Glacier National Park.

Unfortunately upon arrival our first night. Our site was occupied for hours with a simple not asking the people to move. No ranger or camp host to discuss solutions with. Disappointing.

3+ miles of washboard gravel road to the campground. Once there, our spit was occupied by 8-10 people using it as a day picnic area. We couldn’t get into the spot! No host around! Terrible experience! We left!

BE AWARE- there is a campfire ban going on right now. Be prepared. Nowhere on this website does it mention this. If you are camping here, a propane grill is allowed. I would advise you to purchase one before coming to camp if you plan on doing any cooking. They are fairly cheap. Besides this, the campsite was great. It is along the lake and there is a nice little beach and a free boat dock to use. No running water at the campsite, so come prepared. It is a bit of a ride to get here down a bumpy gravel road, but any vehicle can make it through. No phone signal here for Verizon.

Campground was clean and secluded. The camp spot was a little small.

If possible, get photos of campsite. The campsite we had didn’t have an actual tent area. No level spot in sight unless you want to pitch your tent on the driveway by the dusty road. However, campground area is nice and quiet and folks all adhered to the quiet hours. Would stay here again, but not campsite that doesn’t have tent pad or level area
