What Guests Are Saying
Emery Bay Campground offers stunning access to Hungry Horse Reservoir and is a serene alternative to the crowded campgrounds in Glacier National Park, just 20 minutes away. The campground is well-maintained with spacious, beautiful sites and friendly hosts who provide excellent service. While the access road is rough and some sites experience day-use traffic, campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and the opportunity for activities like paddle boarding and swimming in the lake.

The dusty dirt road was so intolerable we turned around and said no way!

Overall, it was nice to be fairly close to Glacier National Park, however our biggest complaints were the tent sites were too small and unlevel. We couldn't book the same site two nights in a row. The first night we were barely able to fit our 10' x 10' tent on the tent site. The second night we rolled into camp late and the tent site was too small for our tent and was on a big enough slope we couldn't set up our tent there. We planned to set up on the parking pad, but our tent requires it to be staked down and the paving used for the parking spots was too compact to stake down our tent. So we ended up looking for a hotel. In the middle of summer, that required us to drive 2-1/2 hours and pay $300 for a night. We were not happy! Another observation being there in July, we had noisy neighbors. It mostly seemed like other campers were there to be on the water boating and were up late.

Holy potholes. They should raise the rates of camping and use the money to repair the road because there are extreme potholes everywhere leading to the campground. The campsites were pretty standard. Only one or two really had a view of the lake. If I was in the area again, I would try a different campground.

We got in late and left early so we didn't see much but the spots were nice, if you're camping here bring lots of bug spray!

The lake is beautiful, campsites are just the right distance away from each other, they also sell firewood which was clutch

This is a beautiful campground that has access to the lake. There are quite a few bugs here, so I recommend bringing extra bug spray.

There was trash everywhere . In my camp spot and in the one next to me as well as our friends spot. We spent most the time picking up trash. For $18 a night I would expect that to be at least done. I’ve been camping up there for 20 years and always thought it was a beautiful place but was very disappointed this time. We need to keep people a accountable that camp there.
