What Guests Are Saying

Emery Bay Campground offers stunning access to Hungry Horse Reservoir and is a serene alternative to the crowded campgrounds in Glacier National Park, just 20 minutes away. The campground is well-maintained with spacious, beautiful sites and friendly hosts who provide excellent service. While the access road is rough and some sites experience day-use traffic, campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and the opportunity for activities like paddle boarding and swimming in the lake.

Poor , The campground host tried to become the ruler of the reservoir shores, No signs, nothing in print , just his will. He was going to have the ranger talk to me , dropping a few names . I welcomed that thought, as I called them and the sheriff too as I felt I was being harassed . He runs around with the golf cart going the wrong way on a one way road , many times during the day , kicking up lots of dust that drifts into my camp. I cut my stay short and went to Lolo national forest and was more than happy with them down there. I will be logging a complaint with the Flathead National forest office in Kalispell . I have stayed at lots of sites on the reservoir an other Flathead National forest sites and be pleased . Would not recommend staying at Emery Bay this year.

Beautiful stay. All seasons included except winter. A little bit of sunshine, a little bit of rain and best of all, no fires so we could enjoy a campfire! Last year we went in August and unable to have campfires. One of the best parts of camping!

The initial site we booked was completed swarmed by mosquitoes and was inhabitable. When we spoke to the hosts about this they said there wasn't much they could do but we were welcome to drive around and see if there were any other sites available. We found another site but when we asked about moving we were told that national forest rules state we would have to pay AGAIN for the new site and would not get any money back for the other site as we had 'forfeited' it. We had no choice but to pay again.

Campground is in a nice location by a lake.

Loved staying at this campsite. Clean site and clean vault toilet bathroom. Sites are far enough apart from eachother and just steps down to a quiet lakefront with mountain views. So peaceful. The camp host greeted us at our site when we got there and were friendly and attentive through our stay. Short drive to GNP!

Beautiful, private sites, wonderful camp hosts, excellent view of and access to the reservoir, and close enough to town to get supplies and phone service within a short drive, but far enough away to really be in nature.

Emery Bay is beautiful but when we got there there was no campground host. Everyone in the park was looking for someone that knew anything. Some were looking for fire wood but the hosts that had left locked everything up. We couldn't even throw away our trash because they had locked the trash cans as well. There were alot of unhappy campers there due to this. We stayed one night and left.
