We had some problems finding our site, we were at R34 but there were no signs for R that we noticed. We drove around until we found it. This campground has little privacy from neighbor campers. We had a site on the backside so we only had people on 3 sides. There are no showers in the campground, the neighboring campground (Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge) has them for $4/8.5 min. Bathrooms were clean, no other concerns.

The road into the park was in terrible shape. Made that side of the park very isolated. And the outside road around the park, being under construction is a pain as well.

People were very nice and location is premier! The site had limited privacy and was very close to the restrooms, so there was a lot of foot traffic, but I did not mind! Because it was close to the restrooms, expect it to be somewhat bright at night. Overall great experience despite that.

Great stay in National Park Glacier Campground.
We stay at Saint Mary for 3 nights. Good location, for those who wishes to have a nice view this is possible. Easy organization, nice rangers. 2 showers for the campground. Lucky us !

Expect lots of activity at this campground. Great family atmosphere. Bring binoculars to watch the wildlife in the evenings on the hillsides.

The campground is in a great location relative to trailheads & you can avoid the parking hassle at the Many Glacier area by staying in the campground. This particular site is close to the parking lot for Swiftcurrent Motor Inn & trailheads, which is convenient but does add noise. We set up our 12x15 tent in the pull-through driveway--the tent pad itself was too small (which we expected) but also had more large rocks than the driveway. You can pay for shower tokens at the Swiftcurrent camp store nearby which were clean & close by.

The campground is very busy and crowded but there is enough separation and vegetation between sites. Almost all the sites are well shaded. Wildlife are common--we had a cow moose and her calf wander right past our campsite. The location is extremely convenient to anything in the Many Glaciers area.
