What Guests Are Saying
Sprague Creek Campground is a charming and clean site with excellent access to Lake McDonald, making it ideal for tent campers and smaller vehicles. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp host, beautiful lake views, and quiet atmosphere, particularly in the evenings. However, some sites are small and close together, resulting in limited privacy, and road noise can be an issue, especially for those near the main road.

What a great campground!! Perfect location to explore the park, even has its own shuttle stop which turned out to be a huge plus during the busy summer months where lots are already full. My campsite had its own little trail down to Lake McDonald which was perfect for plunging in the cool waters while watching the sun set behind the mountains after a long day of hiking. The Lake McDonald lodge is really close by which came in handy for last minute supplies, ice, and a large pizza when my camp food just wasn't cutting it. I really enjoyed my stay here and preferred it over my campsite in St Mary, but that's more of a personal preference more than anything. Go here and you won't regret it!! Oh and if you have paddleboards/kayaks bring them, you can launch them here too!

Site is incredibly small. Site also has a very very tight turn radius even for my compact. Tree was scrapped and I could tell people hit it all the time.

Best campground in Glacier. We really appreciated a small campground with no generators!

The sites are quite small. If you have a large tent, examine the pictures ahead of time to select a site with a larger pad if possible. Many of the sites are right next to the main road and it remains surprisingly noisy even late into the night. The sound didn't end up bothering us much, just not the serene get-away you expect at a national park. Definitely try to get a site on the lake side.

Spacious campsite and clean, located very close to Lake McDonald. Right next to GTTSR but quite at night. My second time at this location and I love it. No showers like Apgar and ST Mary.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect. The campground is small but right next to the water. Some spots appear to be larger than others and have better areas for placing a tent. Not all spots have the ability to hang a hammock. The camp host was always there and available to help. They checked us in right away.
The site is close to the road so there was some car noise but it wasn't too bad.

We loved the quietness and cleanliness of Sprague Creek. The only downfall of this campground is that the sites are really close to one another.

This quiet, small campground has everything needed for a pleasant break after a long day. I enjoyed the lake front spot, with multiple easy access points sore the lakeshore.
