It was a beautiful setting, very quiet, and the ability to access the Going to the Sun highway with my reservation was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend staying.

Great place to camp. Easy walk to the shuttle. And the free shuttle is a GREAT benefit!

We drove in and part of group were in tents and told us the showers were out of order. It was extremely hot on some days due to lack of shade in Loop C. Then we had a flash flood one day that drenched everything. The campground had nothing to do. No bike trails, or long nature trails. There was hardly any fishing access anywhere close. The campground had great access into Glacier and that was about it. I would have expected more from a national park campground. It did have a trailer dump so that was good.

when we come to ST MARY on 7/11/2022-7/14/2022 ,Super good location, super comfortable place, super clean, the park ranger is super friendly, my car was pierced by a stone, they spent a lot of time contacting the rangers in multiple departments to help and provide vehicle replacements I am very, very grateful to all my friends who helped me, including my neighbors Kevin and his wife from Utah, who extended their hands of friendship and instruments. I hope to visit Utah in the future and see the Kevin family again.

Overall a fantastic campground. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were not working in the loop that I was in. The showers and bathrooms that were available and working definitely need some updating.

No showers?? There was a nice shower facility there with 4 showers, but it is closed for the season--WHAT? After hiking in 90+ degree heat a shower is a necessity (if not for me, at least for those I'm sharing a tent with!). The closest shower is a single one in Rising Sun campground, and it closes at 8PM. At LEAST keep that one open 24/7, or better yet bring in a portable shower trailer while the roof is being replaced in the building.
There is just a general level of shabbiness there: Unfriendly gate attendants, barely working toilets, empty toilet paper holders, poor signage, etc, etc.
And I used to LOVE Glacier NP--It started going downhill about 10 years ago. I think they are trying to get rid of all the humans and turn it back into wilderness.
An Unhappy Camper

The campground wasn’t anything to be too excited about. The bathroom was out of order and our neighbors were super loud at 11:30 pm. I had to say something finally.
