What Guests Are Saying
Zephyr Cove RV & Campground offers a beautiful location with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and a serene atmosphere, particularly in the off-season when it is less crowded. Many guests appreciate the clean and well-maintained sites, friendly staff, and proximity to the beach and other attractions. However, some reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and management, especially during peak times, along with concerns about pricing and discount availability. Overall, it remains a popular choice for camping, especially in winter.

The campground was pretty empty, the check in went quick and easy after we found out it had to be done at the resort nextdoor.
The available bathrooms and showers were untidy and smelly. The staff was told, maintenance came, went again without cleaning.
The day after we went to the shop at the neighbouring resort to (the campground office was closed during our entire stay) and the facilities were cleaned after that.
I would recommend to only come in high season when there is enough staff available to clean.

We are thrilled that one of our favorite spots is now reservable under rec.gov! Amazing stay as always and a quick easy trip for us. Sites are always clean and well maintained with great hook ups!

Great sites and has decent bathroom/shower facilities. Super close to the beach for the lake.

The campsite was beautiful! surrounded by trees and right across from the beach. The only downside, which wasn't a problem for us, was the narrowness of making the turns between the trees. It was worth maneuvering through them for the atmosphere.

Campground was affordable and very clean. Bathrooms and showers were an added plus compared to Camp Richardson. If you are seeking winter camping look no further than Zephyr Cove.

Shoulder season - camp ground mostly empty. Best time to camp. Sunset at the beach was epic. 10 out of 10

Until the national discounts (that we paid for) return the one-star ratings will continue. :~(
Otherwise, it's good campground.
