Near nice waterfall loop hike. Many, many people floating down or playing in the creek. Campground loops farther away from creek more private, though bathroom placement not convenient to many sites.

Deep Creek campground is my favorite Campground by farm. There is nothing like waking up next to a flowing stream. The creek is so much fun to play in and tube down.

I was apprehensive about the sites being close to each other first! But everyone was super polite and took care not to bother those around them. Being right on the river was excellent! I will definitely be back!

Our annual visit to Deep Creek was great. The restrooms were spotless this year and the cleaning crews came very early in the mornings which didn't disrupt campers' routines. The hostess, Holly, was a jewel. She is one of the friendliest hosts we've ever encountered in the 45 plus years we've been coming to Deep Creek.
Only thing I can think of that bothered me was that there were dogs on the trails and their deposits. The trails are clearly marked, but folks ignore that. The dogs that were in the campground were well behaved and the owners cleaned up after them.
There is some price gouging going with tubes and ice from the stores at the entrance to the campground, but I guess nothing can be done about that. I mean, $8 for a bag of ice??? We went further down the road and got it for $3. Same with tubes.
All in all, a wonderful time was had by all. Looking forward to next year's trip already.
