Been camping here since I was a baby with my parents and now I get to share the experience with my kids. Only downfall would be that people with dogs do not pick up after them.

The campsite was very clean. The camping pad was larger than I expected. The sound of deep creek was relaxing and drowned the other noises at night. The restroom was clean.

Campground was well maintained and clean. We loved the surroundings and found the location very convenient. It was remote enough for an excellent camping experience while being close enough to town and stores as needed. It was our first visit but we hope to return.

Another great SMNP campground. The Deep Creek CG is well situated for tubing in the streams that pass through the CG. Be prepared for frequent rainfall in this part of North Carolina.
Bryson City is near Deep Creek CG and is worth a walking visit. The easiest place to park a RV in Bryson City is likely Main Street near the flyfishing museum.
The steam train excursions out of Bryson City is a worthwhile diversion. RV owners who buy a train ticket are allowed to park in the railroad parking lot.

We love Deep Creek. Our family has visited Elkmont every year for decades, but it's gotten SO hard to get a riverside spot there, we chose Deep Creek last year when we couldn't get the spots we wanted. We had our choice at Deep Creek, and enjoyed the cell phone access as well as being so close to town. What a fun trip!

This campground was clean and well maintained. Some spots are definitely more private than others, so it’s worth looking into if that’s something you care about. The bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve come across in the park. We loved this campground!!
