The campground was not crowded during our weekend stay. The weather was nice, but it did rain one night during our stay. We were prepared for the rain, and I imagine that’s why a few of the reserved campsites guests didn't show. The rangers would check on the camping guests, which made me feel safe. We hiked to the Juney Whank, Tom Branch, and Indian Creek Falls. We started early, so there weren’t a lot of hikers along the way. I think it’s a great place for families. The weather was nice but a little cool. It didn’t keep the few guests from tubing. I imagine it will get crowded with tubers when the weather is much warmer.
The restroom locations were close to the tent campgrounds and is well lit at night. Be sure to take a flashlight with you to help navigate through the grounds. Be sure to bring the camp ground approved firewood and plenty, especially if you enjoy campfires.
I enjoyed my stay and the trails were awesome!

Beautiful campground, friendly and helpful ranger. Fall colors were amazing! Lots of good hiking from the campground, and super close to Bryson City for town stuff.

This is a wonderful campground! It's important to research any site you reserve because it's an unusual layout and many sites are unconventional. Also make sure you have leveling aids. No power or water hookups, but bathrooms are clean and you can fill your water tank at the dump station. Very peaceful; especially when it's not the peak of river tubing season! Internet connection at the entrance office parking area.

The campground is great. The sites are surrounded be trees and very private. The bathrooms are very clean.

A beautiful campsite, the leaves were turning which added another dimension to the already scenic campsite. The large leveled and drained tent pads were a treat. I would not want to camp here if the site was full. The campsites are very close together, there is only 6 toilets total and one outdoor sink for about 25 campsites and no other access to water. The only way to access some campsites is to walk thru others. There was only one other camper when we were there.

Beautiful campsite near the creek. Facilities were good. Best parts of our stay was the beautiful, kid-friendly hike at the back of the campsite and tubing in the creek (rental options right outside campground).

Campground is beautiful. Its a far drive from most everything, and is very basic. No electricity, no showers, no bear boxes. I'll probably look into staying at a commercial campground closer to smoky mountains with showers next time.
